Farm Bill Legalizes Hemp

On Dec. 20, 2018 President Donald Trump signed the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018, commonly known as the “2018 Farm Bill.” This particular bill restates requirements from the 2014 Farm Bill that States may enact industrial hemp through the States’ Department of Agriculture. The 2014 Farm Bill was the first effort to draw a line between Marijuana and Hemp to benefit Hemp research. Since the 2018 legislation passed, the industry has faced unknowns with how to enforce certification processes to ensure quality extraction amongst many other important elements to CBD production.

The Rooted Company is continuing to position ourselves to be a market place leader by working directly with the ONLY vertically-integrated and FDA-registered hemp company that has been issued a Certificate of Free Sale and a Manufactured Food Establishment License by the state of Colorado (CDPHE). These certifications support The Rooted Company in our commitment to quality products that are exactly what we say they are. Some other certifications our CBD has gone through licensing for is an API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) and Kosher and Halal certification. The Rooted Company feels it is important to remain progressive with our CBD as our partners continue to pave the way in extraction processes providing clean and ethically sourced CBD.
